🦅✨ 4th Grade Eagles Take Learning to the Next Level! ✨🦅 Today, our incredible 4th grade students in Dr. Mitchell's Math class showcased their food chain projects—and WOW, were they amazing! 🎉 Some students created colorful posters, while others built impressive 3D models, but every project was unique and full of creativity. Students are working on the learning target: 📌 I can develop a model to represent the roles of producers, consumers, and decomposers. Just yesterday, these Eagles took a trip to Cumberland Island, where they explored real-world habitats, including wetlands—right in our own backyard here in Camden! 🌿🌊 They made powerful connections between math and science as they discussed ecosystems, producers, primary and secondary consumers, decomposers, and habitats, and the roles of different organisms. After their presentations, students reflected on their learning through writing, showcasing their knowledge in multiple ways. These Eagles SOARED today with their explanations, creativity, and teamwork! 🚀 👏 Great job, 4th grade! 📚🏈✨ A Magical Morning at Sugarmill! ✨🏈📚 On Thursday, February 13, we had a very special visitor—Malcom Mitchell! 🎉 Because our school won the ReadMarathon in the fall, Malcom came to celebrate with us in an unforgettable way! Every Sugarmill Eagle received a copy of his book, The Magician’s Hat, and we had an amazing time tossing the football, listening to Malcom read his story, and hearing his inspiring journey of learning to read. Plus, we even got to see a magician perform some incredible tricks! 🎩✨ What a fantastic morning filled with books, reading, football, and magic! 📖🏆 Our Eagles did such a great job. 💙💛 Thank you Mrs. Coshland for these amazing photos! On February 4th, SES 3rd and 5th grade students took a field trip to watch the Jacksonville Icemen hockey game. Today, former SES students Keagen and Ashton came to talk to the 5th graders. These teens play for the Junior Icemen team in Jacksonville. The fifth graders got to put their hands on pucks and hockey sticks, ask questions, test out their hockey slang, and our Eagles tested the boys out on hockey hand signals. The students even got to test their skills with knee hockey! We cant' thank these former SES Eagles enough for coming and spending their morning with us as a follow up to our field trip! Once an eagle, always an eagle!🏒🥅⛸️
