🎻🎶 Sugarmill Elementary's Violin Petting Zoo! 🎶🎻 Volunteers and instructors from the Golden Isles Youth Orchestra (GIYO) brought violins for the students to explore and try out! The event featured captivating performances by Ms. Kaitlyn Smedley, a professional violinist from the Coastal Symphony of Georgia, and Ms. Lucie Akkermans from GIYO. It was truly magical to see students experience the beauty of the violin up close. #BElieveinCAMDEN #WeAreCamden #SESEagles

🌕🌖🌗🌘🌑🌒🌓🌔 Mary Lee Clark Elementary teacher, Mrs. Jackson, and her 4th graders are diving into the fascinating world of moon phases! 🌙✨ By using hands-on activities like flashlights and Styrofoam "moons," our young scientists are making big discoveries. In this engaging classroom activity, students use a flashlight to represent the Sun and a Styrofoam ball as the moon. By rotating the ball around their heads, they can see how the light changes on the ball's surface, mimicking the phases of the moon. This interactive approach helps our students visualize and understand how the moon's position relative to Earth and the Sun creates the different phases we see from Earth. It's a fantastic way to make learning tangible and fun! 🚀🔦🌍 #BElieveinCAMDEN #WeAreCamden #MLCESMarlins #STEMeducation
